So, if you didn’t know, Pathways is our ministry for 3rd-5th grade students.  Not quite ready for Youth Group, but far above and beyond Small Saints.  These kids sit with their families during worship on Sundays (another WHY on that, coming soon…).  So Sunday School (Sunday mornings during fall and spring semester) has historically been their only opportunity to know and connect with each other.

Enter Pathways.  Our vision is for a place where kids can develop relationships with church friends that will carry them on into the world of Middle School and High School. Ultimately, these friends will be the people with whom they share faith and struggles.  But right now, most of them don’t know each other.  And outside of Sunday mornings, they don’t have a place they can invite their school and neighborhood friends.

These older elementary kids need to get together, and they need to have fun.  That’s a starting place.  The next step is for small group Bible studies, with girls and boys in separate groups (seems obvious…..though we didn’t figure that out until this year!).  Facilitating all that fun and relationship will be some very cool young adults:  Philip and Alyson Noell, and Justin and Katherine Bibb.   We’ll keep you posted on details, but the tentative plan is for monthly social gatherings, where we can build friendships, invite others, and live together in faith.
